Find out what people want and then help them get it – apparently the secret to making people like you! I think Turtle is on to something… If he can always try to make people feel excited and happy then I’m sure he’ll be making friends in no time!
This comic definitely came from a more personal place. When I was a teenager I studied self-help books, trying to decode the secrets of other people. I think if I had been interrogated (and waaaay more self-aware) I probably would have come to the same realization as Turtle. But now that I’ve learned, well, I can talk to anyone anywhere and never be lonely again!
Dale Carnegie’s ‘How To Win Friends And Influence People‘ literally changed my life. It taught me how to talk to others and appreciate them as people. I’m hoping he can do the same for Turtle and maybe some other people out there!
